Pets and People: Best Practice Guidelines
Pets are an integral part of our society; they're a part of many people's families and act as a source of comfort and companionship for many people. They're also a part of many ancient cultures, where they're considered an animal's worth in gold. In ancient Egypt, people treasured their pets as much as they did their children. In that sense, pets are a valuable part of our society; they enhance our lives and make us happier. However, there are some downsides to having pets. For one thing, taking care of a pet requires time and patience. Additionally, some people abuse their pets by restricting their food or health care or withholding affection. Consequently, letting pets into homes can be beneficial if we use best practices when caring for them.
