1992: The chandelier, from the humble but mid-decade, has a profusion of glass spheres and shapes that look like flowers in some pieces, breasts in others, and snakes in others. Chihuly also produced numerous "Irish cylinders," a more modest concept than his blown glass works.
In his 2000 exhibition in Jerusalem, Israel, in addition to shards of glass, he took huge chunks of transparent ice from an artesian well in Alaska to form a wall that contrasted with the stones of a nearby castle. Behind them are lamps with colored gels for illumination. Chihuly said the melting wall represents the "division" between people, and the exhibition set a world record for the most-visited with more than 1.3 million temporary exhibitions.
In 2010, the Space Needle submitted a proposal for an exhibit of Chihuly's work at the Seattle Center location, competing with proposals for other uses by several other groups. The project, which will receive final approval from the Seattle City Council on April 25, 2011, will build the new Chihuly Showroom on the site of the former Pleasure Forest amusement park at Seattle Center Parks and Recreation. It's called Chihuly Garden and Glass and opened on May 21, 2012.

Glass Animals are an English indie rock band formed in Oxford in 2010. Led by singer, songwriter, and producer Dave Bayley, the group also features his childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew MacFarlane. Bayley wrote and produced all three Glass Animals albums. Bayley spent his childhood in Massachusetts and Texas before relocating to Oxford, where he met the other band members at school. Their first album, Zaba (2014), spawned the single "Gooey", which was eventually certified platinum in the United States. Their second full album, How to Be a Human Being, received positive reviews and won in two categories at the 2018 MPG Awards for UK Album of the Year and Self Producing Artist of the Year, as well as a spot on the Mercury Prize shortlist. The third, Dreamland, peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and number seven on the US Billboard 200.
