Generally, Pickles are not toxic to dogs. They contain some nutritional value, and in theory, they could be good for your puppy. However, they are extremely high in sodium and contain ingredients that may be harmful to dogs.
"While kimchi contains vitamins and minerals that are good for us, the negative effects far outweigh the benefits for dogs," says Dr. Carly Fox, Senior Veterinarian, Emergency and Urgent Care at Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York City. "Overall, they're not a good choice for feeding dogs."
Pickles are cucumbers preserved in brine along with vinegar and other spices, which is a source of high sodium content.
